1st Battalion 22nd Infantry

Memories of Company C 1970 - 1971

by Michael Belis

SP4 Michael Belis with captured SKS rifle
Camp Radcliff, An Khê, Binh Dinh Province 1970

Note scuffed unshined boots and trouser legs tied with straps
just below my knees , both normal traits of many Army Infantry
soldiers in Vietnam.

I served in 1st Squad 3rd Platoon Company C 1/22 Infantry
September 1970 - May 1971.

Below are some memories of my time with the Regulars By God.

All pages are linked together. By clicking on "NEXT PAGE" at the bottom of each page you can
advance to the next story in the series.

As I write new installments they will be added to these pages.

Many thanks to Bob Kuhn (Company B 1/22 Infantry 1971-72) for his
assistance in editing the first drafts of "The Jungle" stories.

All photos by Michael Belis unless otherwise indicated.
