1st Battalion 22nd Infantry

HONORS

Silk streamers to reflect campaign participation were first authorized
by the Department of the Army in 1920. They are displayed on the Battalion's colors. Embroidered on the streamers are the campaigns, battles or service
for which the Battalion has been recognized.

At the same time the Department of the Army authorized Unit Award Streamers,
to indicate unit decorations. Both U.S. and foreign decorations are reflected
through the use of unit award streamers.
