William Lindley Hubbard - Company A 1/22 Infantry 1966

Part of the teletype sent by the Army system concerning William Lindley Hubbard's injuries.
It states: INDIVIDUAL IS, REPEAT, IS SERIOUSLY WOUNDED. REQUEST NEXT OF KIN BE,
REPEAT, BE NOTIFIED.

USA Newspaper clipping announcing the wounding of Lindley Hubbard.
There are several errors in the article. The Soldier in the photo with Lindley
is not Larry Tyler, but Jeff Klawon.

The letter mentioned above, which Lindley wrote to his wife Loretta, dated Oct 31, stated:

"We moved down by the Cambodian border after all.
I don't know how often I will be able to write now.
Very little, probably.
So don't worry if you don't get much mail."

Another letter written by Lindley on November 4, the day before he was wounded, stated:

"We move forward everyday about 500-600 meters.
We clear an area and move to another.
This should be the last place we clear.
We should be going out on an operation before long."

Another newspaper article
stating that Lindley had been moved
from the 18th Surgical Hospital
in Pleiku
to the 67th Evacuation Hospital
in Qui Nhon (both in RVN)

Newspaper article stating that Lindley
had been moved to an Army hospital
on Okinawa, Japan.
