Brigade Commander Visits 1st Battalion November 2008

 

Thanksgiving, November 27, 2008

 

 

FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq – Col. Ted Martin, commander of the 1st Brigade Combat Team,
4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, places an Army Commendation Medal on the uniform of
Sgt. Bryan Hart, an infantryman assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div.,
MND-B, for successfully targeting a suspected criminal under the authority of a warrant Nov. 27 at a combat outpost
in Baghdad’s Rashid district. Martin and Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Bobb, senior enlisted advisor for the 1st “Raider” Brigade,
visited Soldiers at the various joint security stations and COPs throughout southern Baghdad to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.
Martin and Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Bobb, senior enlisted advisor, spoke to Soldiers about retention and quality of life
during their visits throughout the day. Martin is a native of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Bobb hails from the Isles of Trinidad,
West Indies. The brigade is currently serving a combat deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
