MG Hammond Reenlists Soldiers of FSC/E December 2008

 

 

FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq — Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond, commanding general of the
4th Infantry Division and Multi-National Division – Baghdad, administers the Oath of Enlistment to Sgt. 1st Class Barry Tumey,
from Fort Hood, Texas, and Staff Sgt. Frank Demont, from Waleska, Ga. Both Soldiers serve as wheeled vehicle mechanics
with Forward Support Company E, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B,
and reenlisted during a special reenlistment ceremony Dec. 3 at Forward Operating Base Falcon, located in southern Baghdad.
Hammond, a native of Hattiesburg, Miss., made the trip to the Coalition Forces base in the Rashid district at the request
of the two career Soldiers, who are deployed with the "Raider" Brigade in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

and Multi-National Division – Baghdad, congratulates Sgt. 1st Class Barry Tumey, from Fort Hood, Texas, and Staff Sgt. Frank Demont,
from Waleska, Ga., after a special reenlistment ceremony Dec. 3 at Forward Operating Base Falcon, located in southern Baghdad.
Both Soldiers serve as wheeled vehicle mechanics with Forward Support Company E, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment,
1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B. Hammond, a native of Hattiesburg, Miss., administered the Oath of Enlistment
to the two career Soldiers deployed with the "Raider" Brigade in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The commanding general
acknowledged the service and sacrifice of the "Steadfast and Loyal" Soldiers of the 4th Inf. Div., referring to Tumey and Demont
as examples of the "Nation's Credentials," and congratulated the noncommissioned officers on their decisions to "Stay Army."

and Staff Sgt. Frank Demont, from Waleska, Ga.,
both of whom are wheeled vehicle mechanics assigned

4th Inf. Div., MND-B, as part of a special request
from the two career Soldiers, who reenlisted to

1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, congratulates his comrades,
Sgt. 1st Class Barry Tumey, from Fort Hood, Texas, and Staff Sgt. Frank Demont, from Waleska, Ga.,
also wheeled-vehicle mechanics assigned to FSC E, 1st Bn., 22nd Inf. Regt., 1st BCT, after the two career Soldiers reenlisted
Dec. 3 to serve their nation indefinitely. For the ceremony, Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond, commanding general
