FALCON, Iraq Iraqi National Police from 1st Company, 1st
Battalion,
5th Brigade, 2nd National Police Division, lead the way for
Soldiers of Company B, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment,
1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National
Division Baghdad, Jan. 8, during early morning
combined security operations in the Saydiyah community of the
Rashid district in southern Baghdad.
The Soldiers of "Bear" Co. partnered with their Iraqi
Security Forces counterparts to assist the NP enforce
Baghdad's "Weapons-Free" Policy, a recent initiative by
the Government of Iraq to keep guns and munitions
off the streets in support of Baghdad's Rule of Law.

went into affect Jan. 1. The Soldiers of the "Raider"
Brigade are committed to assisting the ISF in their ongoing
mission
to provide a secure and stable environment for the approximately
1.6 million Iraqis of the Rashid district.

polling sites for the upcoming provincial elections
scheduled in the end of January. Coalition Forces assisted the
Iraqi Security Forces in evaluating the hard sites
to identify potential threats and develop force protection
measures, such as security checkpoints and car bomb
stand off lanes to mitigate the chance of an attack during the
milestone elections.
