Iraqi national police
from the 2nd Battalion, 5th Brigade, 2nd NP Division, man the
main entrance
to Joint Security Station Aamel, Jan. 1, an Iraqi led patrol base
located in the Rashid District
of southern Baghdad. The Iraqi security forces operate from the
base, which also houses Soldiers from
Company A, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade
Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division,
Multi-National Division - Baghdad, who conduct combined
operations with the NP unit
to support the ISF in their mission to provide security and
stability for the people of Iraq.

Jan. 1, in the Rashid District of southern Baghdad. The Iraq flag
will fly at every JSS and headquarters building
in Baghdad, in accordance with Iraq's security agreement, which
took effect Jan. 1. Soldiers from
Company A, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, also conduct
combined military operations from the JSS.

Rashid district. Hernandez,
who hails from Houston, and his fellow 1st Raider
Brigade Soldiers conducted training
on non-lethal weapons, Rules of Engagement, and Escalation of
Force.
Co. B, 1st Bn., 22nd Inf. Regt., is part of the 1st Brigade
Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division,
Multi-National Division Baghdad, currently serving a
combat deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
