1st Battalion 22nd Infantry Plaque presented to Bob Babcock, 1966
"Len "Rawhide" Morley gave these to all the
officers before we left Fort Lewis for Vietnam. Len
personally made the plaques
and assembled them in his workshop in the little spare time he
had before we left for Vietnam.
My father did the engraving on all the plaques. He visited
us in late May at Fort Lewis, met Len and Chartley while there,
and told him about his engraving hobby. When Rawhide told
him what he was doing
(I didn't know about it at the time) my dad volunteered to do the
engraving for no charge. " -- Bob Babcock
