1st Battalion 22nd Infantry

The Battle of Kontum

Newspaper articles

The following newspaper clippings were submitted by Ronnie Colson,
who, as an RTO with Company D 1/22 Infantry,
participated in the Battle of Kontum.

Same as the previous photo, though from a different newspaper,
and with a different caption.

The soldier in the middle, looking back over his shoulder is
Ronnie Colson, from D Company, who submitted all of the above items.

The whip antenna from his PRC-25 radio can clearly be seen,
along with an M-26 fragmentation grenade strapped to his ammo pouch.
