MARTIN COUNTY -- A Martin County man is dead after a house fire in Jamesville, fire officials said.
Winfred Whitehurst, 61, died in the fine on Mill Road in Jamesville. That house is a total loss, officials said.
There's no sign that the fire, which officials said started just before 1 a.m., has any evidence of foul play.
Now, investigators are waiting for the cause of death from the medical examiner.
