Francis McWilliam 'Mack' Stevens

November 28, 1948 - June 25, 2017

 

 

Francis McWilliam 'Mack' Stevens, age 68, died June 25, 2017 at Anderson Regional Medical Center after
a long battle with cancer.

Mr. Stevens is survived by his wife of 43 years, Helen, three children,
Margaret Stevens Jones (Ben), Allison Stevens Mason (Matt) and Daniel Matthew Stevens. He also leaves
behind five grandchildren, Camryn, Mallory and Halle Mason, Eli Stevens and Mary Anna Jones and
nieces, Justina Lindner (Jason) and Sayle Hannon.

Mack honorably served in the Vietnam War in 1969. He received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal,
the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Sharpshooter Badge.
He suffered the consequences of Agent Orange exposure.

Mack worked in banking for 25 years and was a Justice Court Clerk, but he valued most the friends he made
along the way. He found humor in life and appreciated the small things.

A Memorial service will be held July 5th at 11 am at First United Methodist Church in Quitman. In lieu of flowers the family
requests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, Quitman. Online condolences can be given
