Wayne D. Sitton

December 31, 1944 - May 26, 2005

Wayne D. Sitton passed away suddenly May 26, 2005, at his home from a ruptured aneurysm
with his parents present in Gardnerville, Nev.

Wayne was born Dec. 31,1944, in Weeds Maternity Home in Ventura. He attended Oak View Elementary School,
Ventura High and graduated from Camarillo High school. Wayne was a Boy Scout in troop 503 of Oak View,
along with his brother, Chuck Jr. His father was a scoutmaster of the troop.

Later on, Wayne was a lookout for the Ventura County Fire Department before ending up as a fireman for Santa Barbara
County Fire department and was working there when he received his draft notice, ending up in Vietnam. He lost his left
leg below the knee and his left shoulder was shattered, for which he received the Purple Heart. When he returned home
and was able to work, he went to Lake Tahoe and got a job in the High Sierra Club as a poker dealer and later ended up at the
Carson Valley Inn near Minden and Gardnerville, Nev., where he lived with his wife, Pat, and two children.

On May 29, his immediate family had a very special memory service at his home with Pastor Leo Cougar. Pastor Cougar
made us all feel blessed. At his service were his parents, Chuck and Ruth; brother, Chuck Jr. 'Butch' and his wife Sally;
daughter, Denise McMerrick of Oregon; son, Willie Leggett and his wife Shenea; and neighbors, Willy and Sheryl.

Later in the year, there will be a memorial service in Los Osos at his brother's home, where all his family and friends
can get together. Wayne leaves behind his parents, Chuck and Ruth Sitton of Oak View; brother, Chuck Sitton Jr.
and his wife Sally of Los Osos; daughter, Denise McMerrick, her husband Roger and their son, Devin George,
all of Oregon; son, Willy Leggett and his wife Shenea and their sons, Robert and Willy Jr., all of Gardnerville, Nev.;
and lots of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Wayne was loved by all and will be missed. Praise God.
