Ernest C. Redin Jr.

September 20, 1945 - July 16, 2009

 

 

REDIN Ernest C. Redin Jr., age 63 of Englewood, Florida and previously of Stratford entered into eternal rest
on July 16, 2009 in Florida. Mr. Redin was born on September 20, 1945 in Bridgeport, son of the late Ernest and
Beatrice (Pierron) Redin. A resident of Englewood Florida for the last seven years, he was raised in Stratford and
graduated from Bunnell High School in 1964. He was a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1965 thru 1967
earning the Vietnam Service Medal, two Bronze Stars, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Metal, National Defense
Service Medal, combat infantry badge and the Expert Marksman Accreditation. Survivors include his three sisters,
Valerie Peterson and her husband Peter of Stratford, Katherine Marino of Englewood, Florida, and Laura Lee Costa and
her husband Todd of Stratford; his companion, Lucy Eller of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Local arrangements
are being handled by the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, Stratford. There will be no calling hours and interment
will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stratford Baptist Church 131 Huntington Road, Stratford CT 06614
or the Tide Well Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL. 34238 .
