Jimmy's son James writes:

Even though my Dad was very sick
after months of chemo, he put me to shame
when it came to stamina. This was especially true
when we toured the Manassas Battlefield Park
where the Battle of "Bull Run" took place.
We must have walked 10 miles that day.
He was so interested in seeing those battlefields,
and he took it all in. I could see him envisioning
how the battles took place.

I wish he could have had the pleasure
of living with the memories of our trip
 for a little while longer.

I will cherish them forever.
