Jack Cecil Phelps

November 5, 1948 - February 15, 2010

Jack Cecil "SkyJack" Phelps, 61, of Russell, Ky., died Feb.15,2010,in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

He was born Nov. 5,1948, in Ashland,Ky.,a son of Lucille Goodwin Phelps of Flatwoods,Ky.,and the late Murel G. Phelps.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter,Angela Michelle Phelps, and a brother,Thomas Phelps.

He was a retired plant assistant with Pregis, a member of Advance Memorial United Methodist Church in Flatwoods, Ky.,
American Legion Post 325 and American Legion Golf. He was a Vietnam veteran with the U.S. Army.

Additional survivors include his wife, Nancy A. Sparks Phelps of Russell; a daughter, Heather Marie Leibee of Westwood, Ky.;
a sister, Tonya (Bob) Evans of Russell; and a granddaughter, Tessa Leibee.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19 at Advance Memorial United Methodist Church by Pastor Phil Hogg and Don Young.
Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18 at the church.

Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods is in charge of arrangements.
