Edward Dale "Eddie"
Mullins, age 63 of Franklin passed away at Kettering Medical
Center on Sunday, May 8, 2011.
He was born in Livingston, Kentucky on October 12, 1947 the son
of Wilmer and Ivas (Gabbard) Mullins.
Eddie was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era from
1967 to 1968, receiving the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
He was retired from AK Steel. Eddie was a member of VFW Post #
3809, DAV # 131, and Moose Lodge # 501.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie L. (Waggoner) Mullins; two
sons, Edward D. (Barbara) Mullins and Robert W. (Rachel) Mullins;
four brothers, James Mullins, Charles (Geneva) Mullins, Doug
Mullins, and Phill Mullins; a sister, Carolyn (Melvin) Wallace;
and three grandchildren, Lillian Lane Mullins, and twins Colin
Robert Mullins and Reed Edward Mullins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Anna Birt
French.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home,
1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 12:00 noon
with Pastor Jim Mullins officiating. Burial with military honors
will be in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held
at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
