Bud Roach writes:

On 2/5/68 C/1/22 was ambushed and pinned down for several hours just outside Kontum City.
A tank cleared the ambush site and we were able to move to a safe area to get a dustoff in to evac the wounded.

Mike Stokes writes:

It was Bob Ratoff, Ed and I who were waiting for a dust off on the evening of the 5th of Feb,
when our own guys dropped a mortar just a few feet from us.
Ed and Bob were both wounded again by the mortar but I was just shaken up.
