Alan D. Debolt
January 30, 1950 - February 22, 2014
DEBOLT, ALAN D., SR.; February 22, 2014; at age 64; after a brief illness.
Alan was born January 30, 1950
in Wyandotte to Clarence and Florence Debolt. He graduated from
Taylor Kennedy
High School in 1968 and began proudly serving his country in the
Army where he would serve as a combat medic
in Vietnam in 1970-1971. A fixture in recent years at Myers Lake
United Methodist Campground in Byron and at PKSA Dearborn,
he will be sorely missed by all those that affectionately called
him "Uncle Al". Being a proud member of the Vietnam
Veterans
of America Chapter 267, he leaves behind scores of war brothers
to remember him. He is also survived by his beloved wife
of 14,116 days, Debra (Schofield); his son, Alan, Jr.; sister,
Jean; brother, Tom; and "furever" friend, Sassy.
Waiting with open arms to greet him in Heaven were his parents;
sister, Carole; and brothers, Glenn and Gary.
Visitation Thursday, February
27, 2014 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 6
p.m. at
Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home, 2640 Monroe Blvd. (near W. Outer
Drive), Dearborn.
Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
