Albert Burruel

 

 

SGM (RET) Alberto F. Burruel passed on March 29, 2012. He proudly served in the US Army from 1964-1989,
culminating in over 25 years of distinguished service. Born July 8, 1942 to Antanacio and Ruperta Burruel.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Wanda Jeanette Burruel; his four children, Joseph Albert Burruel,
Eugene Cannon, Debbie Burruel Gendreau and Jason Burruel; six grand and five great-grandchildren.
Al was a proud husband, father, Soldier and a true American Hero. A Memorial Service is scheduled for
Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Enchanted Hills Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

It is with great sadness that we tell you that Sgt. Albert Burruel passed away this past Friday, March 29, 2012. 
He served as Sgt to 2nd platoon B Company starting in Jan 68.   

"SGT Burruel served two tours in nam. first tour as a squad leader , second tour as a platoon sgt he retired after 27 years
as a command sgt major. AL was a true leader of men. his first obligation was to take care of his men.
SGT BURRUEL WAS A TRUE AMERICAN HERO. he will sadly missed by his friends and family.funeral plans are pending."

  For those of us that were at the Colorado Springs reunion in October, it was a true priviledge to have had to opportunity to meet Sgt. Burruel
and his wife Jeanette. Among the men who loved him dearly, who re-united with him in Colorado Springs were Bruce Brown, Peter Mezey
and John Cortes.  He will be missed by everyone.
