Camp Enari to promote good will.

by Combat Medic Specialist Fifth Class Rodney Duane Grage
of two, First and Twenty-Second, Second Brigade, 4th Infantry
Division Headquarters
and Headquarters Company Medics under Battalion Surgeon Captain
Howard P. Schiele,
attached to Charlie Company, commanded by Infantry Captain James
P. Stapleton Jr.
(a West Point Graduate) and led by Brigade Commander, Lieutenant
Colonel Thomas G.
Rosell, on a "Search and Destroy" mission during
Operation Sam Houston (March-April year 1967),
in Kontum and Pleiku Provinces, Republic of South Vietnam. These
two Medics were taking a break
at a Montagnard village during a thirty-eight day "Search
and Destroy" mission. Terry Suire (on the right)
was a recipient of an earned Bronze Star, and Richard Mangel (on
the left) was the recipient of an earned
Army Commendation Medal, respectively. A life is saved, a life is
taken. All for now, Richard.
