Dave Sandell was part of the
initial deployment of 1/22 Infantry to Vietnam,
on board the USNS Walker in the summer of 1966. He was attached
to Company C
and was one of the medics who treated the wounded in the battles
of February 16
and March 14, 1967, when Company C came to the aid of Company A.
