22nd Infantry Regiment - The Philippines 1903-1905

Dress parade at Camp Marahui, island of Mindanao, 22nd U.S. Inf 1903.
The Companies are listed by Battalion. The reference to "2700 (?) men"
is a mystery, as the Regiment landed in the Philippines in late 1903
with 781 total, Officers and Enlisted men.

Camp Wheeler was on the eastern side of Lake Lanao, at the mouth of the Taraca river,
and was named after Captain David Porter Wheeler of the 22nd Infantry, who was killed in action
