During its long
service in the Republic of Vietnam, the 1st Battalion 22nd
Infantry was directly assigned to each of these major commands.
Thus the Regulars of the 1st Battalion wore each of these
insignia on their shoulder sleeves, depending upon the time frame
in which they served.
