The following pictures were taken from home movies shot in Vietnam
on 8mm film.

 

Basecamp

 

Found this little animal. Do not know what it is. It lived for about a week.
Would not eat. Smitty loved this little critter.

(Ed., This is a Civet or a Linsang, closely related to a mongoose.
In Vietnam there were at least a dozen varieties of this animal.
G.I.'s came to call them "Banana cats".)

Larry's record player (battery operated). They put their little animal friend on it
to go round and round. Larry left this record player in Vietnam
for the next batch of troops.
