22nd Infantry softball team the Clippers. Original caption reads:

" Hq Co, 2D BN TEAM poses for the cameraman after defeating Co B, 8th Inf Regt, to win the 4th Div
softball championship. Title tilt was at Kirch-Goens on Aug 29. John McQueeney, second baseman
and ninth in the batting order, hit a two-run homer in the last of the seventh to provide the Clippers
with the victory."

Note SFC Rundles's chevrons are the old olive drab or silver on dark blue
while the other Sergeants chevrons are the new gold on Army green which
were authorized in 1955. Also note 22nd Infantry insignia on caps and shoulder straps.

" Sgt Tracy Burns, Hvy Mtr Co, who for almost four years worked with homeless children in Germany,
guides youths from the Giessen orphanage on a tour of Ayers Caserne, home of the 22d. Here the children
are treated to ice cream at Separate Cos Mess Hall."
