Doug Stanek (4/42 Artillery) Attached to D Company (Recon SGT) August 1967-August 1968
I was in FDC in C Battery. While we were at Kontum the Forward Observer was killed, and the Recon Sgt was badly wounded. I went out as the new Recon Sgt with D Company 1/22 Infantry.
