Harding Calvin Young was born in Morgan County, Missouri on April 20, 1924.

He was drafted into the Army on July 19, 1944 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. His home of residence was listed
as Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri, and his civilian occupation was listed as Farm Hands, General Farms.
He had completed grammar school and was single with no dependents. His religion was listed as Protestant.

He was assigned to Company A from the 48th Replacement Battalion on February 8, 1945.

Private Young was killed in action in Germany in an area south of Weinsheim
on March 3, 1945.

Harding C. Young was buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium and some time later his remains
were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Missouri.
