Lawrence Jay Webb was born in Akron, Summit County, Ohio on July 7, 1918.
He was drafted into the Army on
June 23, 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. His home of residence was
listed as
Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York, and his civilian
occupation was listed as Stock Clerks.
He had completed four years of High School and was married.
His religion was listed as Protestant.
He was assigned to Company C from the 14th Replacement Depot on December 26, 1944.
Private Webb died on February 7, 1945 of wounds received in action in Germany.

Lawrence J. Webb was buried in
the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium and some time later his remains
were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Ohio in 1949.
