Charles Owen Wade was born in Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland on July 28, 1917.
Prior to entering military service he was employed at the Celanese Corporation in Ancelle, Maryland.
He was drafted into the Army on
February 22, 1943 at Baltimore, Maryland. His home of residence
was listed as Allegany County, Maryland and his civilian
occupation was listed as Semiskilled Occupations
In Production of Synthetic Fibers, Chemicals. He had completed
two years of High School
and was married. His religion was listed as Protestant.
He was assigned to Company A as a Second Lieutenant and platoon leader on March 14, 1945.
Second Lieutenant Wade was killed in action in Germany on April 12, 1945.

buried in the temporary cemetery at Saint-Avold
in Block FFF Row 6 Grave 70, and was moved to the permanent
cemetery at Saint-Avold,
in the 1947-1949 time frame, when the temporary cemeteries were
shut down.
