Paul Raymond Tucker Jr. was born in Anderson, Madison County, Indiana on July 11, 1925.
Prior to entering military
service he was employed at the Ward Stilson Company Plant 2
at Anderson, Indiana.
He was drafted into the Army on
September 30, 1943 at Indianapolis, Indiana. His home of
residence
was listed as Anderson, Madison County, Indiana. He had completed
two years of
High School and was single with no dependents. His religion was
listed as Protestant.
He was assigned to Company D
from the 4th Infantry Division
replacement pool on June 17, 1944.
Private Tucker was killed in
action in France during the attack toward the town of Perriers
on July 13, 1944.

Paul R. Tucker Jr. was buried in
the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery
Sainte Mere-Eglise #2 at Carentan, France in Block K Row 6 Grave
110 and was moved to the permanent
cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, in the 1947-1949 time frame, when
the temporary cemeteries were shut down.
