Lee Roy Tubbs Jr. was born in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona on May 15, 1926.

Prior to entering military service he worked on his uncle's farm in Norman, Oklahoma.

He was drafted into the Army on September 25, 1944 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
His home of residence was listed as Wheatland, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma and his
civilian occupation was listed as General farmers. He had completed grammar school
and was single with no dependents. His religion was listed as Protestant.

He was promoted to Private First Class on April 1, 1945.

Private First Class Tubbs was killed in action in Germany on April 14, 1945.

Lee R. Tubbs was originally buried in the temporary cemetery at Saint-Avold
in Block FFF Row 8 Grave 86, and was moved to the permanent cemetery at Saint-Avold,
in the 1947-1949 time frame, when the temporary cemeteries were shut down.
