Prior to entering military service he worked on his uncle's farm in Norman, Oklahoma.
He was drafted into the Army on
September 25, 1944 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
His home of residence was listed as Wheatland, Oklahoma County,
Oklahoma and his
civilian occupation was listed as General farmers. He had
completed grammar school
and was single with no dependents. His religion was listed as
Protestant.
He was promoted to Private First Class on April 1, 1945.
Private First Class Tubbs was killed in action in Germany on April 14, 1945.
