Wayne W. Thomas was born in Ohio on June 7, 1925. He was drafted into the Army
on August 17, 1943 at Columbus, Ohio. His home of residence was listed
as McArthur, Vinton County, Ohio. He had completed four years of High
School and was single with no dependents. His religion was listed as Protestant.

Private First Class Thomas died of wounds received in action in Germany.
Official casualty lists of the 22nd Infantry indicate his
date of death as December 3, 1944.



Wayne W. Thomas was buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Henri-Chapelle Cemetery, Eupen, Belgium and some time later
his remains were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Ohio.
