John Snider

John Snider was born in Daviess County, Indiana in 1875.

He enlisted for a period of 3 years as a Private in Company B of the 22nd Infantry on December 27, 1898
at Vincennes, Indiana. His enlistment record indicated that he stood 5 feet 9 ½ inches tall, had light brown
hair, grey eyes and a ruddy complexion. His previous occupation was listed as Farmer.

He is listed in the 1904 Regimental history for the 22nd Infantry as John Sinder.

Private Snider died at Fort Crook, Nebraska on January 27, 1899 of spinal meningitis.

He was buried in the Fort Crook Post Cemetery at Fort Crook, Nebraska
in Section 1 Site 9.
