Reno John Scatolini was born in Italy on March 20, 1925.
He was drafted into the Army on
August 31, 1944 at New Haven, Connecticut.
His home of residence was listed as Derby, New Haven County,
Connecticut
and his civilian occupation was listed as Skilled Mechanics And
Repairmen,
Motor Vehicles. He had completed four years of High School and
was single
with no dependents. His religion was listed as Catholic.
At the time of his induction he was an American citizen.
He was assigned to Company A from the 48th Replacement Battalion on February 8, 1945.
Private Scatolini was killed in action in Germany in an area south of Weinsheim on March 3, 1945.

Reno J. Scatolini was buried in
the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium and in 1949 his remains
were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Connecticut.
