Daniel John Roma was born in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Connecticut on March 5, 1926.
He was drafted into the Army on
August 9, 1944 at New Haven, Connecticut. His home of residence
was listed as Fairfield County, Connecticut. He had completed
four years of High School
and was single with no dependents. His religion was listed as
Catholic.
Private Roma was killed in
action in Germany during the battle for the city of Prüm
on February 12, 1945.
Daniel J. Roma was buried in the
temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium and some time later his remains
were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Connecticut.
