Rodolfo Roman was born in Towne (Smeltertown), El Paso County, Texas
on July 6, 1925.

He listed his home of residence as Smeltertown, Texas.
His religion was listed as Catholic.

Prior to entering military service he was employed by the Boundary Commission
in Smeltertown, Texas.

His Army serial number indicates he was drafted into the Army.

He was assigned to Company A from the 4th Infantry Division replacement pool
on June 17, 1944.

Private Roman was killed in action in the area of Le Theil, France, during the attack on Cherbourg
on June 22, 1944.

 

 

Rodolfo Roman was buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Sainte Mere-Eglise #2 at Carentan, France and some time later
his remains were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Texas on August 20, 1948.
