Ralph W. Rivers was born in Connecticut on July 21, 1918. He was drafted
into the Army on August 9, 1944 at New Haven, Connecticut. His home of residence
was listed as Fairfield County, Connecticut and his civilian occupation was listed as
Semiskilled Occupations In Production of Synthetic Fibers, Chemicals. He had
completed one year of college and was married. His religion was listed as Protestant.

Private Rivers was killed in action in Germany during the battle for the city of Prüm
on February 7, 1945.

 

 

Ralph W. Rivers was buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Hamm Cemetery, Hamm, Luxembourg and some time later
his remains were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in New York.
