Anthony Richard Rennie was born in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon on June 4, 1925.
Prior to entering military
service he was employed by Interstate Freight Lines
in Portland, Oregon.
He was drafted into the Army on
July 26, 1943 at Portland, Oregon. His home of residence was
listed as
Portland, Oregon. He had completed three years of High School and
was single with dependents.
His religion was listed as Catholic.
He was assigned to Company A as
a Staff Sergeant, from the 4th Infantry Division replacement pool
on June 13, 1944.
Staff Sergeant Rennie was killed
in France, in the St. Lô area, on July 27, 1944,
during Operation Cobra, the breakout from Normandy.

buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery
La Cambe Cemetery, Isigny, France and his remains were later
returned to the
United States where he was reinterred in Oregon on May 9, 1948.
