Eugene A. Raymond was born in New York in 1913. He was drafted into the Army
on June 29, 1942 at Fort Jay, Governor's Island, New York. His home of residence was listed as
Bronx, New York and his civilian occupation was listed as Guards And Watchmen, Except Crossing Watchmen.
He had completed three years of High School and at the time of induction was single with no dependents.
He was married in 1943. His religion was listed as Catholic.

First Lieutenant Raymond was killed in action in Germany, during the 22nd Infantry's first penetration
into Germany on September 14, 1944.

Eugene A. Raymond was originally buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Fosse Cemetery, Namur, Belgium in Block E Row 7 Grave 121 and his remains were later
transferred and buried in Henri-Chapelle, most likely in 1948 when the temporary
cemeteries were shut down.
