Eugene Albert Raymond was born in the Bronx, New York on January 29, 1913.

Prior to entering military service he was employed at the Irving Trust Company on Wall Street in New York City.

He was drafted into the Army on June 29, 1942 at Fort Jay, Governor's Island, New York. His home of residence was listed as
Bronx, New York and his civilian occupation was listed as Guards And Watchmen, Except Crossing Watchmen.
He had completed three years of High School and at the time of induction was single with no dependents.
He was married in 1943. His religion was listed as Catholic.

The date of his commission could not be found.

First Lieutenant Raymond was killed in action in Germany, during the 22nd Infantry's first penetration
into Germany on September 14, 1944.

Eugene A. Raymond was originally buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Fosse Cemetery, Namur, Belgium in Block E Row 7 Grave 121 and his remains were later
transferred and buried in Henri-Chapelle, in the 1947-1949 time frame, when the temporary
cemeteries were shut down.
