According to one source he was married on July 24, 1943.
Staff Sergeant Posey died on
February 26, 1945 of wounds received in action in Germany
during the battle for Prüm on February 10, 1945.
Emeral H. Posey was buried in
the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium and some time later his remains
were returned to the United States where he was reinterred in Arkansas,
most likely in 1949 as the date on the application for his headstone/marker
is August 2, 1949.
