Stratton Perry was born in Wise County, Virginia on December 17, 1915.
Prior to entering military
service he was employed by the Peerless Coal Company
in Glamorgan, Virginia.
He was drafted into the Army on
July 30, 1942 at Abingdon, Virginia. His home of residence was
listed as
Wise, Virginia, and his civilian occupation was listed as
semi-skilled miners and mining machine operators.
He had completed grammar school and was married. His religion was
listed as Protestant.
Corporal Perry was killed in
action in Germany in an area south of Weinsheim
on March 3, 1945.

Stratton Perry was buried in the
temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium and some time later his remains
were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Virginia.
