Raymond Charles Paquette was born in Michigamme, Marquette County, Michigan on June 23, 1925.

He listed his home of residence as Michigamme, Marquette County, Michigan.
His religion was listed as Catholic.

Before entering military service he was employed at Camp Kechuwa,
a summer camp in Michigamme, Michigan.

His Army serial number indicates he was drafted into the Army.

He was assigned to Anti Tank Company of the 22nd Infantry from the 92nd Replacement Battalion
on November 27, 1944.

He was transferred from Anti Tank Company to Company A on November 29, 1944.

Private Paquette was killed in action in Germany during the battle for the city of Prüm
on February 10, 1945.

The Records of the American Battle Monuments Commission indicate he was awarded
the Silver Star Medal.

 

 

Raymond C. Paquette was originally buried in the temporary cemetery at Hamm
in Block F Row 10 Grave 230, and was moved to the permanent cemetery at Hamm,
in the 1947-1949 time frame, when the temporary cemeteries were shut down.
