Donald R. Pallo was born in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania on January 4, 1920.

He enlisted in the National Guard on October 15, 1940 at Ann Arbor Michigan. His home of residence
was listed as Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan and his civilian occupation was listed as
Unskilled Painters, Except Construction And Maintenance. He had completed
three years of High School and was single with no dependents. His religion was
listed as Catholic.

The Application for World War II Compensation from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
indicates he sailed overseas in April 1944.

He was assigned to Company D as a Sergeant from the 4th Infantry Division replacement pool
on July 13, 1944.

Sergeant Pallo was listed as missing in action in Germany, in the area near Sellerich,
during the 22nd Infantry's first penetration into Germany, on September 17, 1944.
On September 18, 1945, his status was changed to Finding Of Death, declared dead.
