Donn Willis Overton was born in
Baltimore, Maryland on August 23, 1923.
His original enlistment record gave his birth year as 1912.
He enlisted in the Philippine
Scouts on December 10, 1942. His home of residence was listed as
Baltimore, Maryland
and his civilian occupation was listed as Foreman. He had
completed one year of High School and was married.
His religion was listed as Protestant.
The date of his commission could not be found.
He was assigned to Company B as a 2nd Lieutenant and platoon leader on January 1, 1945.
2nd Lieutenant Overton was
killed in action in Germany in an area west of the
Prüm River on February 13, 1945.

Donn W. Overton was buried in
the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium and some time later his remains
were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Maryland in March 1949.
