Wesley Ward Newman was born in Clare, Clare/Isabella County, Michigan on September 7, 1908.

He listed his home of residence as Holt, Delhi Charter Township, Ingham County, Michigan.
He was married and his religion was listed as Protestant.

His Army serial number indicates he was drafted into the Army.

He was assigned to Company D from the 4th Infantry Division
replacement pool on June 25, 1944.

Private Newman was killed in action in France during the attack toward the town of Perriers
on July 13, 1944.
