Philip Wayne Nadeau was born in Somerville, Middlesex County, Massachusetts on December 28, 1920.
Prior to entering military
service he was a civilian employee at Fort Monmouth
in New Jersey.
He was drafted into the Army on
May 23, 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. His home of residence was
listed as
Red Bank, Monmouth County, New Jersey and his civilian occupation
was listed as
Skilled Mechanics And Repairmen, Motor Vehicles. He had completed
grammar school
and was married. His religion was listed as Catholic.
He was assigned to Company D from the 92nd Replacement Battalion on November 21, 1944.
Private Nadeau died on November
26, 1944 of wounds received in action
in the Battle of the Hürtgen Forest.

Philip W. Nadeau was originally
buried in the temporary cemetery at Henri-Chapelle
in Block TTT Row 8 Grave 144, and was moved to the permanent
cemetery at Henri-Chapelle,
in the 1947-1949 time frame, when the temporary cemeteries were
shut down.
