Keva Morris was born in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York on November 16, 1920.

He married Zelda Rafelowitz on September 14, 1941.

He enlisted in the Army of the United States (AUS) on January 26, 1942. His home of residence was listed as
Brooklyn, New York, and his civilian occupation was listed as shipping clerk.
He had completed three years of High School.

The date of his assignment to the 22nd Infantry could not be determined. He made the D-Day landing
on June 6, 1944 with Company A 22nd Infantry.

Private Morris died on June 15, 1944 of wounds received in action in France on June 8, 1944,
during 1st Battalion's attack against the Germany coastal battery at Crisbecq, France.

 

Keva Morris was buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery
Sainte Mere-Eglise #1 at Carentan, France and some time later
his remains were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in New York on May 20, 1948.
