Thomas McLaughlin was born in Gilberton, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania on April 10, 1925.
He was drafted into the Army on
October 30, 1943 at Allentown, Pennsylvania. His home of
residence was listed as
Frackville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania and his civilian
occupation was listed as student. He had completed
four years of High School and was single with no dependents.
His religion was listed as Protestant.
He sailed overseas to England in May 1944.
He was assigned to Company A
from the 4th Infantry Division replacement pool
on June 25, 1944.
Private McLaughlin was killed in action in France on July 3, 1944.

Thomas McLaughlin was buried in
the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery
Sainte Mere-Eglise #2 at Carentan, France and some time later
his remains were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Pennsylvania.
