Albert Daniel McCue was born in McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania on June 16, 1925.

Prior to entering military service he was employed by the Dravo Corporation
in Neville Island, Pennsylvania.

He was drafted into the Army on September 7, 1943, at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His home of residence
was listed as Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He had completed three years of High School
and he was single with no dependents. His religion was listed as Catholic.

The Application for World War II Compensation on file with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
indicates he sailed overseas in April 1944.

He was assigned to Company A from the 92nd Replacement Battalion on December 13, 1944.

Private McCue was listed in the records of the 22nd Infantry as missing in action in Germany
on March 3, 1945.

On March 3, 1945 Company A was engaged in fighting around the city of Prüm, Germany.

At some time, the body of Albert D. McCue was recovered, as the Rosters of WWII Dead
from the Quartermaster General's Office lists him as being temporarily buried at Hamm Cemetery,
Hamm, Luxembourg and final burial at Arlington National Cemetery.

His remains were returned to the United States in 1949 aboard the Victory ship transport
U.S.A.T. Private Francis X. McGraw.

The Arlington National Cemetery website indicates he was interred in Arlington
on January 5, 1950.
