Millard Paul Malone was born in Gordon County, Georgia on March 31,1921.
Prior to entering military
service he was employed by the Le Tourneau Company of Georgia
in Toccoa, Georgia.
He was drafted into the Army on
January 12, 1944 at Fort McPherson, Georgia. His home of
residence
was listed as Atlanta, Georgia and his civilian occupation was
listed as foreman. He had completed
four years of High School and was married. His religion was
listed as Protestant.
He was assigned to Company D
from the 4th Infantry Division replacement pool
on August 2, 1944.
Private Malone was killed in
action in Germany during the 22nd Infantry's first penetration
into Germany on September 17, 1944.

Millard P. Malone was buried in
the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium and some time later his remains
were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Georgia on June 12, 1949.
